PURPOSE:To provide an air-conditioner which detects a thermal sense, hot and cold, of each person in a room by a simple method and allows the inside of the room to be controlled by air-conditioning on the basis of the thermal sense detected. CONSTITUTION:An air-conditioning means for the inside of a room, a detecting means 6 for detecting infrared rays emitted from each person being inside the room, as image data, a detecting means 22 for detecting a skin temperature of the range of each face of the persons on the basis of the image data from the detecting means 6, and a computing means 23 for the amount of a person's thermal sense on the basis of the skin temperature detected by the detecting means 22, are provided. Furthermore, a control means 24 for controlling the air-conditioning means on the basis of the amount of the person's thermal sense found by the computing means 23 is also provided.
