COMPACT AND ROTATORY CONTROLLABLE ULTRASONIC WAVE CONVERTER

PURPOSE: To make its orientation easy with a remote and rotatable operation of a converter by equipping it with a track which links a container having a multi-element converter and a support band which makes the container operate rotationally around a regulated axis. CONSTITUTION: A scanning head 28 has a housing 36 which forms a cavity 38 in the inside and houses a sound device 40 and a movable assembly 42. A support band 120 is laminated on the movable assembly and is attached around the sound device 40 at one end. The other end of the support band is electrically connected to a bundle of wires extending from a gastroscope. When the sound device 40 turns around the axis 48, the support band 120 is pulled from a domain 46 and surrounds the outer circumference of the sound device 40. The sound device 40 has a multi-element converter 60 installed on the base part 62 which is equipped with a container 64 filled with an ultrasonic damping lining material 66. The container 64 of the sound device 40 is installed on a ring like circular track 68 and the circular track 68 is supported by a housing 36 of the scanning head.
