A light (1) has at least one housing part (2) and a translucent cover (4) which is connected pressure-tight to said housing part (2) by means of a screw-on ring (3). A flame-extinguishing gap (5) is formed between the housing part (2) and the cover (4). In order to form an appropriate flame-extinguishing gap (5) in a simple, structural manner and, at the same time, to simplify the assembly of the light (1) without negatively affecting recyclability, the flame-extinguishing gap (5) is formed directly with a surface, particularly the outer surface of the cover (4), and a surface, particularly the inner surface of the housing part (2), and the screw-on ring (3) covers the flame-extinguishing gap (5) at an end (9) of the gap pointing to the outer side(8) of the light (1). |
