A substrate web (1) to be laminated on both sides with laminating webs (10) and (18) is brought together with and bonded to a laminating web (10), coated with a film of adhesive (8), in a roll nip (2) formed by two back-up rolls (3) and (4). The other side of the substrate web (1) receives a film of adhesive (9), applied to it in the roll nip (2) of the second back-up roll (4). The second laminating web (18) is brought together with and bonded to the side of the substrate web (1) provided with the film of adhesive (9) in a roll nip (16) which is formed by a first laminating roll (15) and a second laminating roll (17).
