Patching device (jumper device) and a method for laying patching lines within a distributor

The laying of patching lines in a distributor is a labour-intensive process since the patching lines must be individually laid between the connections (terminations). The patching device according to the invention provides a remedy here, in that the patching lines are laid in a harness (loom). A wire unrolling device is fitted at the side for this purpose, at the level of the connections to be wired up and having a wire guidance device on the side of the distributor; the individual patching lines are then unrolled from the wire unrolling device, are threaded in through the guides of the wire guidance device and are clamped in a wire driver device. The patching lines are then drawn up to the level of the connections which are to be wired up, with the aid of the same. <IMAGE>
