In this position, the metering head (D) is moved with the cartridge (1) in the direction of the reference plane (LP) in such a manner that the metering needle (8') rests on the surface of a selected stage (41, 42, 43) and the spacer (7) comes to rest on the surface of the reference plane (LP), the spacer (7) being moved relative to the metering needle (8') in the metering head (D).
