The invention relates to a coupling device for pipes for the pressure-feed of thick matter, such as concrete. At the mutually facing pipe ends, the coupling device exhibits essentially radially projecting coupling flanges (14, 16), a sealing ring (30) arranged between the coupling flanges, and a clamping mechanism (36) which presses axially against one another the coupling flanges (14, 16) bearing against one another on the end sides. In order to be able to join the coupling flanges (14, 16) together in a positively locking manner before pressing and to centre them with respect to one another and adjust the sealing forces independently of the pressing by the clamping device, the invention proposes that the coupling flanges (14, 16) engage one in the other in each case by an outer connection stub (24) and an inner connection stub (20), projecting axially beyond an annular flange part (18, 22) and that an interspace (32) for receiving the sealing ring (30) is arranged between the inner connection stub (20) and the outer connection stub (24), and that the inner connection stub (20) and/or the outer connection stub (24) can be pressed, with their end surfaces, against the adjacent flange part (18) and (22) respectively of the other coupling flange (14, 16) by the clamping mechanism (36). <IMAGE>
