Presented is a golf course (2) having a single fairway of conventional length common to at least three putting greens (22, 24, 26) and cups (23, 25, 27), the course having a tee area (18) designated for use in connection with the three putting greens and cups, and a set of balls (31-39) that are color coded in correlation to the green to which they are to be played. The tee area is also delineated to provided specific areas (19, 20, 21) from which golf balls are driven to the various greens, these areas also bearing indicia correlated to the green to which golf balls are to be played. In addition to being color-coded, the balls are marked with indicia indicating the sequence in which they are to be hit, and indicia (50, 51) indicating the golfer to which the balls belong. The course, the set of golf balls, and the method of play thus permit the completion of nine or eighteen holes of golf in a short time span in comparison to conventional golf courses.
