PURPOSE:To utilize a pharmacodynamically effective component of foliar part of Nandina domestica and to obtain medical wine having good flavor in a short period even from concentrated preserved fruit juice by blending squeezed juice of a medicinal herb, fruit juice, etc., with a ground material of foliar part of Nandina domestica and subjecting the blend to alcohol fermentation. CONSTITUTION:First, a liquid selected from water, squeezed juice of a herbicidal herb and fruit juice is mixed with a ground material of foliar part of Nandina domestica (preferably one passing through a sieve of 1-20 meshes), a saccharide and yeast for alcohol fermentation (e.g. dried yeast for producing wine) and subjected to alcohol fermentation by maintaining a proper fermentation temperature, usually at 20-25 deg.C. Then a solid substance is removed from the fermented solution by filtration, etc., to give the objective product. The amount of the ground substance of foliar part of Nandina domestica added is preferably 1-10kg based on 1kl of the fermented solution. |
