PURPOSE:To obtain a printing material haring high sensitivity for laser beam and high contrast characteristic by respectively incorporating specific fine powder into a undercoat layer and an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:A silver salt diffusion transfer process successively having at least the undercoat layer, the silver halide emulsion layer and a physical development seed layer on a substrate is utilized. Fine powder of 2-10mu average particle siz, preferably 2-8mu average particle size is incorporated into the undercoat layer, and fine powder of <=-2mu average particle size, preferably 0.1-2mu average particle size is incorporated into the emulsionlayer. TiO2, ZnO, BaSO4, silica and talc, etc., are exemplified as the fine powder. They can be used singly or jointly. Thus, the printing plate having high sensitivity to laser beam and high resolution is obtained and also printing with-out irregularity of a drawing line and fine dot and occurrence of soiling of the ground is obtained. |
