PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of contriving to save energy, simultaneously, shortening waiting time and moreover, obtaining a high quality image by preventing the occurrence of image flowing and a failure in fixing. CONSTITUTION:A control means controlling the distribution of electric power with which a heater for heating an image carrier surface 15 and a heater for heating a fixing roller 14 are supplied, in accordance with the surface temperatures of an image carrier 1 and a fixing roller 9 detected by temperature detecting members 12 and 13 is provided. When the electric power supplied to the heater for heating the image carrier surface 15 is made high to raise the surface temp. of the image carrier 1 up to a prescribed value (40 deg.C) in an early stage and then, the electric power supplied to the heater for heating the fixing roller 14 is made high to raise the surface temp. of time fixing roller 9 up to a prescribed value (200 deg.C) in the early stage, after a main switch is turned on, the waiting time from the turning on of the main switch to a time when an image forming action can be started can be shortened. |
