PURPOSE:To provide the ending part of a photosensitive drum from being electrified at the time of stopping the copying operation and a carrier and toner from being stuck to the electrified part at the time of resuming the copying. CONSTITUTION:The actuation of an electrifier 31 is stopped just after the electrification of a region required for the formation of an image by the photosensitive drum 32 is completed. On the other hand, the lighting of exposure lamp PCL before electrification and the rotation of the photosensitive drum 32 are continued for a time corresponding to a rotation of the photosensitive drum 32, so that the photosensitive surface of the stopped photosensitive drum 32 at least from the electrifier 31 to the developing sleeve 33A of a developing unit 33 is in a state where a potential is eliminated. Thus, a constitution that the carrier and the toner are prevented from sticking to the photosensitive surface at the time of resuming the copy is adopted as a characteristic. |
