PERIODICALLY ARRANGED MAGNETIC BODY DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To allow detection at a position spaced apart from an object with no external influence by matching the outline of a group of detection coils functioning as the inductance of an LC oscillation circuit with the outline of a magnetic body to be detected projected onto the moving face of a transfer system. CONSTITUTION:A transfer system 10 transfers a magnetic body to be detected. Each coil 52a of a group of detection coils 52 in a periodically arranged magnetic body detector is arranged at an appropriate position of the system 10 such that the positional relationship with the magnetic body can be varied. The group of coils 52 functions as the inductance of an LC oscillation circuit 54. The coils 52a constituting the coil group 52 are connected in series, in parallel, or in combination with the circuit 54. Output from the circuit 54 is fed to a frequency variation deciding circuit 56 comprising a frequency counter in order to detect the presence or the position of the magnetic body.
