METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING SODIUM SULFUR BATTERY

PURPOSE:To automatically recover sodium and draw an inner cylinder from a plurality of sodium-sulfur batteries. CONSTITUTION:A set of plural sodium-sulfur batteries W is contained inside a work set tube unit 8 having a plurality of integrated holding cylinders. The set of sodium-sulfur batteries W is held inside a heating oil sump 1 filled with melted paraffin, thereby making sodium fall. A chuck claw is inserted into a through hole at the bottom portion of the work set tube unit 8 inside the heating oil sump 1, so that an inner cylinder is drawn out of the sodium-sulfur battery W. It is desirable that the chuck claw freely slide in the X- and Y-axes directions. It is preferable that conveyance into the heating oil sump 1 should be carried out with the opening of the sodium-sulfur battery W sealed by a conveyor.
