PURPOSE:To provide a card type data base device for shortening the processing time of sum-up or retrieval and unnecessitating a large capacity memory while holding the format of a card suitable for the convenience of work. CONSTITUTION:Plural data input columns corresponding to the same item are collected in a group, and data for simultaneously instructing this group are prepared and stored in the high-order hierarchy of this group. Thus, the storage position of the instruction data instructing the relevant item inside card data is fixed rehardless of the number of the data input columns of the relevant item. Therefore, in the case of sum-up or retrieval, it is enough only to instruct the instruction data at the fixed position, and it is not necessary to read out all the data of the card. Namely, processing time is shortened. |
