1. A method comprising:
receiving, by a user equipment (UE), information relating to a configuration for a discovery signal for transmission by a first wireless access network node when the first wireless access network node is in an off state; receiving, by the UE from the first wireless access network node that is in the off state, the discovery signal according to the configuration; and detecting, by the UE based on the received discovery signal, the first wireless access network node that is in the off state, wherein detecting, by the UE, the wireless access network node that is in the off state comprises determining, by the UE, a cell identifier of the first wireless access network node that is in the off state.
