A valve arrangement for a hydraulic delivery device, in particular a steering-aid pump, is proposed which has a piston (15) displaceable as a function of pressure inside a bore against the force of a spring device (helical spring (41)). The outer wall of the piston (15) - for forming a slide valve - bears in a sealing manner against the inner wall of the bore (9) and thus the inner wall of the bore - as viewed in the axial direction of the bore - seals off orifices of passages (37, 61) from one another, the orifices opening out at a distance from one another. The valve arrangement is characterized in that the piston is equipped with a section acting as a seat valve. <IMAGE>
