Disclosed is a gel, and corresponding methods for its use, having an SPF of at least 15 comprising at least about 50% by weight of a volatile hydrocarbon, a film former, a solvent comprising an ester group, a combination of ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) sunscreen agents, wherein the UVA sunscreen agent comprises 4-tert-butyl-4'- methoxydibenzoylmethane, wherein the PFA of the gel is at least about 5 or at least about 8, and wherein the gel is capable of drying within 2 minutes after topical application to skin. |
