PURPOSE: To apply all the indistinct values of pixels and a weight function on the input color component content of an input signal in a specified sample area, to change edge amplitude in accordance with the color of the area and to appropriately make it clear or smooth in the part of an image. CONSTITUTION: Relating to a method and a device for adjusting the image formed by data showing the color component content of the respective pixels of the image, the method is constituted of (a) that unsharp (U) and sharp (S) data is generated for the respective color components of the respective pixels, indistinct masking algorithm is executed with distinct and indistinct data and edge data (F) is generated, (b) that edge data is adjusted (40) with the weighting function (ϕ) decided in accordance with a sharp or unsharp data value for all the color components (UC, UM and UY) of the pixels and (c) that edge data to be adjusted is connected by pixel data and pixel data to be corrected (41) is generated. |
