YAW RATE DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To provide a yaw rate detector which can output a signal of a correct yaw rate even when the apparatus is inclined to a vertical axis. CONSTITUTION:A yaw rate sensor 1 outputs a signal corresponding to the rotary movement about a vertical axis in the vicinity of the center of gravity of a vehicle. A yaw rate is detected by a yaw rate detecting circuit 2 based on the output signal. Meanwhile, an acceleration sensor 3 outputs a signal corresponding to an acceleration of the vehicle, and an inclination of the yaw rate sensor 1 is detected by an inclination detecting circuit 4 on the basis of the output signal from the sensor 3. The detected yaw rate is corrected corresponding to the detected inclination at a correction circuit 5. An output circuit 6 converts the yaw rate to a predetermined output signal indicating a true yaw rate before outputting the signal.
