PURPOSE: To control the damping quantity of the vibration of a vibration generating source. CONSTITUTION: An arched member 14 having a chamber 35 storing hydraulic liquid formed in its inside is attached both to an engine 10 by a screw 18 and attached to a vehicle body 12 by flanges 22, 24. Flexible walls 30, 32 form the chambers 35, 36, which are connected to a groove 38 and openings 40, 41 in a partition wall 33. The vibration of the engine 10 is transmitted to the liquid in the chamber 35 via a member 14 and damping takes place because of the resistance to the flow of the liquid between chambers 35, 36 and/or resonance of the liquid in the groove 38. A thin membrane 30 is supported by an inside wall of the member 14 and urged against the inside wall by a leaf spring 29, and the air pressure between the interior wall of the membrane 30 is variable. When the air pressure is increased, the membrane 30 moves away from the wall of the member 14 to become in pressure contact with the spring 29 so that the chamber 35 is formed by the flexible wall, thus reducing the damping effect and the stiffness. |
