PURPOSE: To obtain a diskette covered with a material for cleaning a magnetic recording surface by applying a binder polymer liquid on a cloth web to the contour pattern coinciding with the outer periphery of diskette liners, drying the coating and cutting the inside of the contour pattern along the pattern and using the cut pieces as the diskette liners. CONSTITUTION: The first and second diskette liners 10, 11 are disposed in contact with both surfaces of a magnetic recording medium 7 in first and second shell halves 1, 3. The liners 10, 11 consist of non-woven fabrics capable of recovering the splinters and contaminants on the surface of the disk 7. While these non-woven fabrics consist preferably of rayon, the use of acryl, nylon, cotton, wool, etc., or their combinations is possible as well. The web is impregnated with the liquid polymer binder so as to form the contour pattern 12 and is dried. The inside of the contour pattern is cut along the contour to form the diskette liners 10, 11. The binder is useful for bundling the fibers of the non-woven fabrics. A vinyl acetate polymer, acryl polymer and others are used as the binder. |
