PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of achieving a high speed processing of detecting such as an inclination of each of both sides of a document.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus reads each of both sides of a document. The image reading apparatus includes: a light receiving section for acquiring a first surface of the document as a first image; a light receiving section for acquiring a second surface of the document as a second image; an image processing circuit 41 for generating a first inspection image DA2 obtained by reducing the amount of data from the first image; an image processing circuit 51 for generating a second inspection image DB2 obtained by reducing the amount of data from the second image; and an angle/size detection circuit 42 for calculating at least one of an inclination and size of the document from each of the first inspection image DA2 and the second inspection image DB2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
