The invention relates to a torque sensor for torsion on a shaft. It finds an application for a vehicle assisted steering device, the torque sensor being mounted in connection with the steering column so as to produce signals representative of the steering forces applied by the driver on the steering wheel, which are intended for a steering assistance management computer. The torque sensor comprises a magnetic circuit with a yoke (70 - 73) and an electronic module for detecting the voltages induced in the coils (76, 77) excited by a sinusoidal current. The module preferably carries out peak-to-peak detection on two separate channels mounted in differential mode in order to increase sensitivity. Application to assisted vehicle steering. <IMAGE> |
