The apparatus according to the invention reduces the forces which are necessary for the thread draw-off and which result in a specific thread pull, in that the frictional torques to be overcome in order to rotate the yarn bobbin are compensated and, furthermore, an additional torque acting in the run-off direction is imparted to the yarn bobbin. Each unrolling spindle is assigned a thread-pull compensating device which is known per se and which serves for the individual adaptation of each individual run-off point.
