The device (10) according to the invention is provided with a drivable conveyor belt (12) preferably made of steel, onto which individual portions of the pourable cake and pastry mixture (29) can be placed directly with the aid of an automatically operating feeding device (22). Arranged in the direction of movement (20) of the conveyor belt (12) to the rear of the feeding device (22) is a through-type baking oven (24) through which the portions (28) placed on the conveyor belt (12) are transported. The baking cake and pastry mixture portions (30) leaving the through-type baking oven (24) are passed to a round-shaping device (26) in which, by placing on shaped bodies which surround the individual portions (30) and by said shaped bodies executing an eccentric movement on the conveyor belt (12), the intrinsically irregularly edged cake and pastry mixture portions (30) are shaped such that they are round. <IMAGE>
