Bowl-type mangle

Bowl-type mangles serve for smoothing still damp laundry, in that the laundry is guided through between a mangle bowl (11) and a mangle roller (10) rotating thereon. The laundry to be mangled passes by way of an entry slope (18) between the mangle roller (10) and the mangle bowl (11). Table linen above all is often provided with chemicals (starch) which, in the course of time, lead to deposits on the entry slope (18). The entry slope (18) thereby becomes blunt, which can lead to creasing. These creases result in an insufficient mangling quality, because they are fixed in the laundry during the mangling. The invention provides for making the mangle bowl (11) non-adhesive at least in the region of its entry slope (18). Deposits of the chemicals contained in the laundry and the creasing resulting from these are thereby avoided. The invention is particularly suitable for bowl-type mangles for the smoothing of starched table linen. <IMAGE>
