An automatic milk control method for animals consists of identifying the configuration in which the animals are physically to be found, identifying the animals in a defined order, establishing a relationship between the physical location of the animals and their identification, and, when milking the animals, carrying out checks in random order, a relationship being established between the physical location of the animals and the implementation of the checks and associated results.
