A 16-bit/18-bit memory module is used in systems where memory is inserted, removed, and replaced in module. The memory module comprises low and high 8-bit/9-bit memory modules (100,200); memory data line (MD) and memory address line (MA) connected to two 8/9-bit memory modules in parallel; two separate address strobe lines (CASHIGH,CASLOW) for high and low memory modules.
