PURPOSE:To enable handy and highly accurate measurement of vascularity by extracting pixels within a range of a specified pixel value from those indicating the velocity of blood stream within an interest area of a subject to display it by an area ratio to the interest area. CONSTITUTION:An interest area setting means 1 specifies an interest area 1' of a tumor part or the like among B mode pixels by a circle or the like to be drawn and display in a bit map frame memory 2 for display. A cursor is displayed on a color bar being controlled by a pixel value range setting means 5 and moved with a vertically moving key to assign hue and brightness as specified. A pixel value judging means 6 extracts pixels in an image by such an operation in the range assigned by the cursor. Then, an area calculation means 7 outputs a ratio between the number of the pixels in the interest area 1' to be outputted from a bit map frame memory 3 for an interest area flag and the number of the pixels having the pixel value extracted by the pixel value judging means 6, for example, by a division means. The results are displayed by an area ratio display means 8. |
