PURPOSE: To provide a tool holder which has a simple structure, is inexpensive and compact, and is not affected by disturbance and dust, particularly a fast exchange chuck. CONSTITUTION: A receive part 11 provided with a head 14 is provided. An opening 16 is formed in the head 14, and a housing 12 is accommodated inside the opening 16 in such a way that it does not rotate around its shaft but can be displaced relative to the head in the axial direction. An opening 24 is formed in the housing, and a fast exchange insert 26 for a tool 27 is fitted into the inside of the opening 24 and is connected. At least one drive body 36 is arranged between the head and the housing. The drive body is held partially in a groove 37 in the axial direction of the head and partially in a groove 38 in the axial direction of the housing to transmit torque between the head and the housing and rolls during relative displacement between the head and the housing. |
