PURPOSE:To further join articles joined by plural carrying conveyers at a narrow space. CONSTITUTION:A carrying device for articles is provided with a shelf F having a frontage of plural rows and steps, plural carrying conveyers 2 arranged every stage along the frontage, and a vertical carrying device 4 arranged in the downstream part of the plural carrying conveyers 2 and carrying articles G at a fixed pitch in a vertical direction. A phase difference is set to timing wherein articles G are joined from the frontage of every carrying conveyer 2 according to a position where the articles G carried by respective carrying conveyers 2 are joined in the vertical carrying device 4, and the phase difference is added to timing wherein the articles G are joined in the respective carrying conveyers 2 from the frontage to join the articles G at a fixed pitch to the respective carrying conveyers 2 from plural frontages. |
