The device for optical transmission of data between different electronic circuits disposed on auxiliairy cards (11) extending from a main card (12) of an electronic circuit housing, in which at least each auxiliairy card (11) includes means for optical coupling fitted with means for emitting and receiving data beams. The device comprises means for optically transmitting data beams between cards, provided with means for complementary coupling opposite the card coupling means. The data transmission device is characterized in that the means for transmitting beams comprise a plane optical guide (10) made of a light conducting dielectric material extending more or less parallel to the main card (12) opposite the emission and reception means of each card in order to connect the cards among themselves.
