In a device for the temperature-dependent maintenance of a tensile force, transmission elements, which contain a spring element and a hydraulic damping element which has a damping effect only in the direction of an increase of the tensile force, are arranged between an adjusting lever which is loaded with the tensile force and an operating piston of a thermostatic operating element.
