A unit is proposed, which consists of a motor and a pump, the motor being arranged on the motor housing (1) and the pump being arranged in the pump housing (2). These two housings (1 and 2) can be connected to one another. The motor housing has a first bearing (10) and a second bearing (15). The pump housing has a third bearing (19). In normal operation, the forces which act on the pump eccentric (18) are essentially supported by the second bearing (15) and the third bearing (19). The bearing forces are passed into the pump housing (2). When the motor housing (1) is not mounted on the pump housing (2), the armature shaft (4) is supported by the first bearing (10) and the second bearing (15), and the motor can thus be tested. Since the forces which occur in the test phase are very small, the first bearing can be of very simple design, for example it can be designed as a barrel-shaped pin (11), which is inserted into a blind hole (18) in the armature shaft (4).
