<p>A device for performing intracorporeal iontophoresis includes a tubular catheter with a closed terminal end. In use it is arranged intracorporeally. It has an internal cavity supplied with a pharmacologically active liquid iontophoresis medium. At least one electrode is located inside the terminal portion of the catheter and this is connected to a current generator and to a counterelectrode. The terminal portion of the catheter has a plurality of holes linking the cavity with the outside for the dispensing of the iontophoresis medium under the effect of the supply of electric current to the electrode.</p> |
