<p>The invention relates to a process for manufacturing brick mouldings by mixing a pressing mass of a granular clay-containing material with a non-plastic material and, if appropriate, further additives, from which blanks are formed which are dried and fired, which process allows utilisation of residual materials by using, as the clay-containing material, a residual material predominantly consisting of clay minerals, in particular a dry fraction of an ash, predominantly consisting of tempered clay minerals, preferably lignite ash, and preparing the pressing mass by mixing the fraction with the non-plastic material and further additives as well as water, water being employed in such a quantity that an earth-damp pressing mass results which is then pressed in portions on a press to give individual, self-supporting blanks.</p> |
