PRODUCTION OF FIBER FOR CHEMICAL PLATING

摘要

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a chemically plated fiber without pretreatment by fixing a metal catalyzing chemical plating to the surface layer of a fiber. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of a noble metal having catalytic action on chemical plating is applied to a polyvinyl alcohol fiber or a cellulosic fiber and the solution is dried and heat-treated to insolubilize the metal on the fiber surface layer and obtain a fiber for chemical plating. The fiber is subjected to chemical plating by conventional process to obtain a uniformly plated fiber having firmly bonded plating layer.
