COMPLEMENTARY VISUAL SENSE SIGNAL IMMUNOASSAY

PURPOSE: To sense a subject to be analyzed in a liquid sample by using a high absorptive film which includes at least the first and the second analyte sensing region arranged in pair. CONSTITUTION: A device according to the invention has a high absorptive film partitioned in a plurality of analyte sensing regions, among which the first region includes a subject analyzed which is fixed while the other region(s) includes a peculiar coupling member complementary to the subject analyzed. A sample prepared is mixed with a solution containing an immunological reagent which is either directly or indirectly labeled pecularly to the subject, and the obtained mixture and another reagent are dissolved and put in touch with the device appropriately. To produce a plurality of visual signals on the device simultaneously, at least one signal must be directly proportional to the concentration of the subject in the sample while other signal must be in inversely proportioning thereto. The signal strengths in the first and second regions are compared, and the quantity of the subject in the sample is determined.
