<p>PURPOSE:To provide a valve system for engine, which is capable of improving the switching-responsiveness of the valve timing while lubrication of a journal part is performed without obstruction. CONSTITUTION:When the opening/closing timing of a valve is controlled by loading an oil pressure mechanism for changing the phases of a cam shaft 13 and a pulley for driving the cam shaft on the cam shaft 13, and supplying oil pressure to the oil pressure mechanism through an in-shaft oil pressure passage 13c formed inside of the cam shaft 13, and opened to a journal part 13b, a head side oil passage 19 for connecting the opening of the in-shaft oil pressure passage 13c and a block side oil pressure passage formed on the cylinder block side is formed in a cylinder head 1. A lubricating oil passage 19a connected to the journal part 13b is formed to be branched from the head side oil pressure passage. Further, a change-over valve 20 for interrupting the supply of oil pressure is arranged on a part of an upstream passage 19d, a downstream passage 19e located on the journal part side from a branch point of the head side oil pressure passage 19.</p> |
