PURPOSE:To provide a transparency changing method enhancing the opacity degree of an opaque state and capable of obtaining high contrast in a reversible thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:In a method heating a reversible thermal recording material based on a resin and org. monomeric substance particles to change the same from a transparent state to an opaque state, a part having a refractive index different from that of the resin and particles is formed to the interface of the resin and the org. monomeric substance particles and/or in the org. monomeric substance particles.
