The pharmaceutical composition is intended for the treatment of AIDS via the oral route and comprises physiologically acceptable salts of gold, magnesium and silver. These salts are preferably in the following proportions, expressed in parts by weight of the element considered: gold: 3 to 15 parts, magnesium: 20 to 100 parts, silver: 2 to 10 parts. The gold is advantageously in the form of gold chloride, the magnesium in the form of magnesium sulphate or gluconate and the silver in the form of silver acetate. The pharmaceutical composition is preferably provided in the form of two gelatin capsules, one gelatin capsule containing the gold salt and the magnesium salt and the other gelatin capsule containing the silver salt.
