PURPOSE:To constitute a color conversion table for a color image forming device with good color reproducibility at various color image input requests. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device which converts a color input signal (RGB, XYZ, HSV, etc.) into a color recording signal CMYK performs color recording in a color which is the closest to the color requested by the color input signal. For the purpose, a table data generating process part (color conversion table) 36 used for the color conversion divides the color reproduction range of a color recording signal by saturation values. An expression for finding a color difference from the color input signal is changed by a color space 32 having <=20 saturation and a color space 33 having >20 saturation in the divided areas. Then said color recording signal of a color which is the closest to the color input signal is selected and combined (combination 35 of minimum color difference) to constitute the color conversion table of the table data generating process part 36. |
