The central beam has a lifting eyelet fitted on a central column coupled to a lock mechanism which in the raised position drops the grids in towards the centre of the device to free it from the ditch edges. In the work position the grids are locked in the lowered positions against the ditch edges. The total width of the grids and the angles of them to the horizontal plane can be varied by the arm length and angle to the horizontal plane. The device is entirely manoeuvred with the excavator digging arm. |
