A collapsible jib for a crane has a jib foot part (1) and a jib head part (2) which are connected to one another by means of a connecting joint (8). Provided between the jib parts (1, 2) is a jib swivelling device (11) which has a threaded spindle (1) linked to one jib part (1) and a pull/push rod (13) linked to the other jib part (2). A rotationally drivable spindle nut (19) is attached to the pull/push rod (13). Linked to one jib part (1) and to the pull/push rod (13) is a steering lever (21) which ensures reliable swivelling of the one jib part (2) by about 180 DEG relative to the other jib part (1). <IMAGE>
