This is a tubular pipe connector (30) comprising an internal passage (32) extending longitudinally between the opposite ends (33, 34) of the said connector, this passage having a longitudinal axis (46), characterised in that it comprises a partition (35) arranged across the passage in order to close it off at a given instant, it being possible for this partition to be opened by opening means (70, 65). This connector can be used in gas or liquid pipe networks; it finds its main application in extending or repairing these networks. <IMAGE>
