Pneumatic linear drive with end-position locking

Linear drive with a single-acting, pneumatic piston/cylinder unit, a spring loading the piston rod in the direction of an end position, and one positive, pneumatic lock each for each of the two end positions. The linear drive has: a locking detent which can engage from diametral sides in one recess each of the piston rod, an adjusting rod actuating the locking detent, a double piston actuating the adjusting rod and allocated to two separate pressure spaces, an elastically flexible force transmission between the double piston and the adjusting rod, a permanent fluidic connection between the pressure space nearer the locking detent and the piston/cylinder unit, and a one-way restrictor in this connection, which temporarily enlarges the cross-section of flow in the area of the adjusting rod during the venting of the piston/cylinder unit. <IMAGE>
