The invention relates to a pivoting door, in particular in a shower partition. The pivot bearings (7a, 7b) of the door element (3) are suspended, by means of link arms (4a, 4b), such that they can be pivoted about an axis of rotation (5) and, furthermore, the door element (3) is guided in a linear slide guide (16) by means of at least one slide-guide element (6). This measure reduces the space requirement within the shower partition during opening and closing of the pivoting door. According to the invention, the two link arms (4a, 4b) are connected rigidly to one another via a vertically arranged rotary bar (4), running through the axis of rotation (5) of said link arms, in order, on the one hand, to synchronise the two link arms (4a, 4b) with one another and, on the other hand, to improve the load absorption. <IMAGE>
