PURPOSE:To provide a color display having high image quality. CONSTITUTION:Light from back lights 6R, 6G and 6B passes display panels 11R, 11G and 11B respectively composed of liquid crystal elements 1R, 1G and 1B, micro lens arrays 5R, 5G ad 5B and field lenses 7R, 7G and 7B, and synthesized with a cross dichroic prism 8. An observer 12 views the light synthesized with the prism 8, or a color image from an eyepiece. |
