<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a carrying guide capable of preventing the toner transferred onto the surface of a transfer material from scattering or being offset to a transfer device. CONSTITUTION:The carrying guide 17 guiding a transfer material P from its back surface is disposed between the transfer device 13 and the fixing device 20. It is composed of a conductive guide base 31 covering an electrical installation part 19 below; and an insulated guide rib 32 sticking out above the surface. The guide base 31 is grounded to the main body to shield the electrical installation part 19. On the other hand, the guide rib 32 is in contact with the back surface of the transfer material P to prevent the dissipation of positive charges on the back surface that electrically hold a negative toner image on the surface of the transfer material P, thereby preventing scattering of toner, etc. Further, the constitution of the carrying guide 17 is simplified by integrally forming the conductive guide base 31 and insulated guide rib 32 by means of insert molding.</p> |
